Why in the world would pulling groups allow altered tires in the superfarm. There isn't enough difference between the cut tire mods and the superfarm now to hardly need two divisions. This is going to be a big issue in our club. I feel if your going to all the trouble to topcut them then spend a few hours to shape the front side to and get in the class you belong in

Top cut tires are the way to go. It takes alot of money out of pulling. You can get those old tires out behind the corncrib and use them instead of spending money on neighbors tires he hauls round bales with!!!!! !!!!!

Jerry, allowing "top cut" tires, eliminates the "no, my tires aren't cut, they are road worn" argument.

It also allows the spineless jellyfish who wouldn't stand his ground and say "I can tell a cut tire from a non-cut tire" to stay on the tech/rules crew. Why can't people just say "No. That's a cut tire." Then we wouldn't even have this issue to deal with. You're still going to have to deal with those people who will try to slip by with top cuts in the non-altered class. They'll still do it because no one will stop them.

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I THOUGHT THE SAMETHING BUT OUR CLUB WENT TO IT A YEAR AGO AND SO DID A NEIGHBORING CLUB AND LAST YEAR WAS THE MOST PEACEFUL YEAR WE'VE HAD IN ALONG TIME. NOBODY SAYING HE DOCTORED HIS TIRES HE SPUN HIS BACKWARDS SO ON AND SO ON. THERE CAN BE SOME POSITIVES

Here in central PA we are now making 2 classes out of one ,Top Cut and Non Altered, Top Cuts are superior to Non Altered tires and we were loosing Non Altered competors with less power and tires and we hope this is a good move for 2006

I hear ya Cliff, keep on and there won't be many true stockers pulling anywhere. Many of the guys here use thier tractors for plow days, bushogging, raking hay or parades and top cutting would be a waste of time.

I have both,Tractors that we just pull With Top Cut tires and some with Non Altered tires that we work and sometimes pull and theres no way that a non Altered tire Can be close to a CUT unless its in Mud and they postpone them most of the time, And the bigest gainers are the smaller to mid weight classes(2500 to 6500lb),Where as one guy said at a pull, The best non altered tire tractor hardley ever beats the worse Top Cut tire tractor in the same weight class with the sled set the same for all!!!!

There is a few pulls not too far off from here that thier club allows top cut tires and you can actually walk through the tractors before hand looking at the"SKINS"on the back and tell who is going to go the farthest.Flat and sharp in the socalled"FARMERS CLASS".Slide into the open where the competition is and get you some and quit beating up on Joe Blow with a tobacco patch that uses his.

Hi Jak, I been the guy thats been behind our Clubs seprating classe, We have 7 Clubs with in a 40 mile radious of me and when i started pulling in 2001 my wife and i had 2 super C s that we pulled that where Stock and could win any where including point championships with out Cuts! Now mine only has won 2 times in the last two years,And hers got a complete makeover with a oversize kit and a thew extra things to make almost twice the power that it started with, A pair of 14.9x36 top cut tires and where competive now but theres some new tractors with 250+ cui engines coming to pull with us in 3000lbs class in the near future, Thank goodness theres a 3.5 mph speed limit to keep them in site.
