Why arnt div II tractors allowed to pull div IV? The only rule my DIV II tracto doesnt fit into for div IV so far is the side panels. Well who is to say i cant make them a quick removable style with pins holding it on? I could keep em on for div IV and remove them for division II. Are there any other rules i may be missing? I will be pulling with genesee valley antique tractor club and there rules are pretty close to natpa.

In div II or div II+ i still have to start at 5500 lbs. I would really like to see what i could do in 4500.

Yes as of right know Div 2 and 2 plus you would have to start at 5500. But heard rumor that rules comitee may vote to make 2 plus no weight restrictions. So you could make the 4500 providing the obvious that your tire size is legal and you have no aluminum or plastic to make weight ! But remember you still can only pick one div. to pull in for the year. Hopefully will get the rule change we need! One more thing its nice to see pullers from the club on here!

The reason why no div2 in div4 is because then every one would be doing it. It would make for an even longer day, and no one wants to see the same tractor pull 6 to 9 times at one pull. They try to keep the pull short so people can get back home to do their chores. So you have to pick one class or the other. Why dont you try the div2 plus class that lets you pull at 5mph.
