i'm building a sm stroker motor and i was wonder if i needed to replaced the old head studs with bolts. also if i need to countersink the rod bolts or get new ones, i would think that it would be ok to leave the rod bolts the way they are just grind a little more block material to clear. thanks Trak560

Trac, countersink the lower rod bolt, you wont have to cut so much on the block. You should be alright with the stock head studs, unless they are in poor condition, bent, or stripped threads. email is open. Chad
