Please explaine the "dead weight" pulls. I've heard of them on this board, but have never been to one. What set up works best on your tractors? Thanks.

Dead weight pulls are pulls that have just a plain sled that weight is put on it the tractors go through a round and the tractors that do not pull the sled the full pull distance are eliminated. A stake is set behind the sled with a rope the length of the full pull distance and when the stake is pulled over its a full pull The rounds keep going until you have a tractor that makes the only full pull or pulls the farthest distance in the round. The key to dead weight is basically putting all your power to the ground and good traction. Heavy stock tractors seem to do better than the lightweight high horsepower tractors that just spin out easily. Hope this helps. JaredM
