Now that I have my voice back and everyone is back home (safe and sound, I hope) we want to thank all the pullers who participated in The Southern Nationals at Tunica.

I think the total was 860 hooks for the two days. We could never have accomplished this without the full co-operation of every puller.

The Southern Nationals was Mean Green's pull until the first hook on Friday morning. Then it became YOUR pull. So, The Mean Green Pulling Team wants to thank all the PULLERS for putting on a great show and pull.....Wayne Perry (aka Spotter)

I would like to thank Mean green pulling team for a great pull this weekend . It was our first trip south to tunica with a 10 hour one way trip We almost did not make it down I am glad we did . The southern national has to be the best antique tractor pull in the country ..... As close to perfect as you will find I don't care how much Sand is in the track. It is the same track for everyone there were several full pulls, SO some pullers can pull on sand!!! Everybody Knows NOW so figure it out and Go pull next year. I WILL that is for sure. Nobody said pulling is Easy .Don't cry about the track . Great Pull.

Glad to hear you can talk again--it was great to meet you and spend time talking. On behalf of CKAP thanks for having us, you guys do a wonderful job keeping the pull going. Starting with the ladies at the sign in and all the rest involved. Those guys outside the door gets my vote for the "110 Percent" award--what a job they did lining everyone up and allowing room inside to get business done. And to my fellow CKAP pullers--way to go!!! From my count we had 20 top 3 finishes and another 8 that was 4th & 5th. Several others that placed in the top of the class. Not bad for a bunch of redneck pullers from Kentucky.

Hey Mean Green Guys

Let me be the first to congratulate you for a great pulling weekend. As far as I am concerned everything went off almost perfect and all the MG members worked their butts off to make sure we all had a good time. Too bad Spotter and Terry did not have a voice left by Saturday afternoon, I missed hearing about how the Fat Lady was going to kick everyones butt this year! Oh well maybe next time! Of course I got waxed again this year but we are supposed to he doing this for fun anyway. At least I did not have to drive 1000 miles to get home like some did. We met some guys from Maine on Friday night, now that is dedication for you. When we saw them on Saturday afternoon they were trying to figure out how to get their tractors down here next year. One of your good members from Ark gave me a Mean Green Cap Sunday morning at the Blue and White, said she was trying to get me to come over to the dark side with the rest of you guys.
Thanks to all the MG for all the hard work.

Yea Jack that 6 hours just didn't seen to be too bad after talking to some of the folks there. We talked to a couple of fellas from Washington state as well as Nebraska and North carolina I believe. heck and we had been griping about hauling three hours to pull.

I'm thinking next year there will be at least one truck heading that way and probably two loaded to pull and ready to get whooped...LOL!!!!

Seriously though,Never pulled in anything near that big but am kinda looking forward to it. You want to throw yours on the back too?

Wayne didn't get a chance to talk to you but my son and I was really impressed and had alot of fun. We seem to have a hard time putting on a 100 hook pull in the summer I can only guess what the Mean Green goes through. Our hats off to you guys. We'll be back!

I have been pulling at Tunica for 6 years and finally won a class, and my head swelled up, and a cold bug got inside, and my head went down, and the cold bug stayed, and I hope to feel better in a few days. Our pull would not be what it is without sponsors like Fitzgeralds and the added money sponsors, Tunica Arena and staff, and the many volunters who work for free, and also the pullers that drove lots of miles to pull at Tunica. Thank you all. Sweeper
