Wildman, We got the same thing happening in our club. What our club decided to do is totally eliminate classes under 4500lbs! We used to have it 0-4500lbs, now it starts at 4500, no one and I mean no one asked any of us in those affected classes to make such a drastic change to classes we pull in. We also pulled percentage,, now its changed to distance, so now forced to pull out of our weight classes due to no classes below 4500. Pullers, not even in our light classes are making the rules in our classes, thinking it will bring in more tractors,, well, all it did was force us to consider dropping down a division with our modified tractors, which would be a farm stock class. My opinion of having to consider this, is that makes me out to be a cheater!!! Our modified tractors have stroker cranks in them, bored out etc etc, and be put in classes that are stock, well sort of stock,,, But Im not one to put a stroker tractor in a farm stock division, and think to myself,, HMMM, Im winning honestly!!! No sir! What would you guys do, if your weight class was eliminated, no other options to pull other than totally redesign your modified tractor to run in stock classes? A,, you could run a farm class, be called a cheater, B,,, Find a new place to pull,, C,,,,leave em home. D,,, fight to get your classes back. Do I feel bad about pestering the board about this? No. They already took their modifieds and put em back in farm stock. Look at me!! Im a winner! Im just not that way. Rule changes that affect the whole club,, should be a member vote, and those who want rule changes that affect others classes should not be allowed. They want to make rules to make em winners, then by all means, change classes that they pull in, not come down to my class and force me into the heavy class. JMHO, ChadS

I agree with you. Some of the board members in our club only think of helping their tractors and not what's the best for the club as a whole.

As a whole would you mean that the majority would rule? Thats how I make my decisions I talk to the people in the class affected and if more want the change than the ones that don't want it thats what I go with.

I had asked you before I know what you thought, I did ask Gary, I know what his response was, then he didn't recall it, Bingham asked him the same question seperately from me and he gave the same answer. You had told me many times what you thought but you are not the only puller nor am I, But I am the one that gets to hear the complaints when someone doesn't make an attempt to pull right. There have been a lot of complaints just because they don't tell you don't think they don't tell the board members. The other side is that only 1 board member voted against the speed change, out of 7 does that give you an idea, It wasn't working the other way nobody will hit that new speed with the sled set-ups we run on the short tracks we run. Your tractor will still pull just like it did before,It will not change any thing it will be an equall advantage to all. When any of us got on a good enough track to hit the horn we more than likely all hit it now we won't half to back out of it for a horn that has a delayed reaction. Your okay with the rule change I got through that made your Super H legal where it had been getting pulled illegal for several years though. I never even got a thank you for changing what I admit was a bogus rule. I will tell you this Jim I don't forget anything anyone tells me but I am not going to argue with them about what I know they told me, But I will argue for what is fair.
