I have a taylor dynomometer that needs re packing .I cant break the packing nuts loose. They are shaped like square cut gears and are approx. threeinches in diameter. I contacted Taylor, and they told me what to get and where. but after I got it itwouldn't go onto the nut can you tell me where to get this spanner?

If the wrench you got is not big enough get the next size bigger you can use a hammer and chisel, But it will leave a mark. You have a really good dyno, it will be worth the effort.

Is it a water brake? If so more than likely its a Taylor. I know they made dyno's for IH and Case.

The Hydraulic ones have a water hose hook up for cooling, Look inside if it looks like a impeller pump with the outer housing having a arm that pushes on a button hyd. cylinder its a water brake.
