I am thinking about going to the Natpa pull in Sandusky MI, in November. I have never pulled With Natpa, only Emtpa here in Michigan. I am thinking about running my 620 Deere in Div 1. I was wondering how they Tec the Rpms. I don't trust my Tac farther than i can throw it. After the tractor runs for about 10 Minutes the Tac fails to work and just drops back to 0 Rpms. I have noticed that when i throw the throtle from idel to Wide open the engien throtels way up then drops back to a high idel speed. If they use a tack that clips onto the spark plug wire I am worried that when i run the throttel up it will have too many rpms untill the governor cuts it back to high idel. Also, about the hitch, For the Emtpa I run a twisted clevice and they meashure the hitch hight from the horizontal part of the clevice. On a straight clevice I am not shure where the meashurment is taken from. I do have wheelie bars but the pad is not parralel to the ground, it is tiped back slightly so the front of the pad is higher then the back. Will the wheelie bar be meashured from the lowest part of the pad? And any other tips you might have woudl be helpfull. I just want everything to go smoothly and have some fun, not be all stressed out over if my tractor is going to get disqualified.

Kevin; On your rpm's we will have a courtsy tach for you to set your rpm's before you pull. So don't worry about that.
The wheelie bars will be measured from there lowest point, however make sure you can jack up the back of the tractor at its heaviest weight from either wheelie bar. You should go to the NATPA web site and look under rules, go to div 1 and read them carefully. They explane the hitch well. If you still have questions you should call the tech committee or E mail them at the NATPA web site. Hope this helps Gary

In Div 2 the rules state "no electronic ignition, but you can run a magnetic pickup inside the stock distributor". Are we legal to run the Pertronix switch in the distributor of a Farmall "M" in Div 2?
