Did my first pull this past weekend. Pulled with an Oliver super 88 in the 5500 class but weighed in at 5398. How much differance would that 100lbs have made in my pull. I had more power then I needed and spun out at the end of my pull. I did come in 4th place and was onlt beat by 5 foot. I did 242.?? and first place did 247.??. Would the 100 lbs made much differance. Thanks

in the right spot 100 lbs is a pile of weight.
years ago they used to have a super-pro class in MN,pulled the prostock and superstock in the same class the pros got 500 more than the supers.
at that time their was around 800-1000 hp diff between them.

100lbs on the right spot on your tractor could have made up that 5 ft., why did you go in light?

Well as I said it was the first time I ever pulled and also it was the first time I even watched a pull other then what is on TV from time to time. I also didn't have any weights with me and no place to put them even if I had them. I was also told I probably should have used 2nd gear instead of 1st. I figure if I pull again next year I'll do it a little differant. I didn't feel to bad about looseing I did beat out most of the pack and the ones that beat me where MMs LOL
