I got the 70 running yesterday. Sounds pretty good. I hope it runs as good as it sounds. Im gonna give it a run on Saturday night in Xenia. They dont have a class for me but at least I can see how its gonna run.

What have you got for a 70? I have a '53 with powerblock, propane head planed 200/1000ths, propane manifold and I bored out the carb. Also put on electronic ignition w/ hot coil. Fairly simple modifications, but she pulls very competitively in the 8000 & 9000 lb. farm stock classes. I've beaten 80's, 830's, R's, 720 diesels, Cockshutts etc. - and on occasion they have beaten me. I pull for fun and if I win that's a bonus.

It has a 9.5 stroke with a 7in bore ,propane manifolds,a good cam,lots of head work, as a matter a fact Ive used several different heads and I got one now thats been ported and polished along with a three angle valve job, Ive also blended the eyebrows back around the intake valves. The head has been milled down a bit also,theres not much of an eyebrow left inside it. The intake is a single barrel now there is no divide. Due to the restriction in the top of the power block I had to have a set of pistons made to go up through the smaller area. I dont have any compression numbers yet
