Hey guys I am just getting started with a oliver 77 want to make it a strong mph tractor who is good with oliver engines in South Eastern USA and where would you start. If I decided to go open wheel what kinda of money do you think were talking to make it a top three tractor. and what is open wheel r's on a 77.I know about JD's but a 6 cyclinder is a whole new ball game. In a deere I would start with the head then go pistons and bore and stroke is it pretty much the same. what is the largest you can go without dry block and not having to worry about a 77 over heating thanks

The first place to start is by doing a search here under "oliver horsepower, oliver 77 build up" and like words. This site has a huge amount of info stored in the arcives.Just about any question has been asked and answered there.Everything is money, how big do you want to go.If you ask more direct questions, then people would have a better idea were to start answering you. Good Luck with the project.
