Use a small, hand held electric wood planer, just make sure tire is clean

How well does the hand planer work? Does it take a month to cut a tire? Does it leave marks in the tread? How long do the blades last?

Thanks,

Hey top cutter the planer works pretty good and does'nt leave marks if you take your time. Cuts pretty quick but you need to let the blades cool. I like to have someone keep air from my compresore blowing on it when I cut my tires the blades stay cooler longer. Only take 1/8 inch at a time helps a lot.

Try Miller Tire or Speedway Motors for the disks for the 4.5 and 7" grinders. There is probably other sources as well.
