Lamont, I beleive the turtle would pop a little louder if i had a power block, what do you think?T.G.

I think it would be hard to improve on the way she pops now. It seems to do really well up to 4500 lbs. when we were playing after the pull the other day. It did good there. I think you just needed a couple of weights on the front and maybe one more pound of air pressure in the tires. It impresses me on how it pulls. Can't imagine what it would do with a Power Block. Did they ever one for it?

Lamont, I Know the turtle does ok in 4500# but i think i want to go with the 420 power block, so i can start pulling in 7500-8500# classes, probly wont go any heaver-might will just try them frist.T.G. What do you think????? ????

I would go with one of those 7.5 G blocks . I think with some minor grinding it might work.

May have to dry deck the block. Maybe grind a little off the sides of the pistons so they don't rub. Mother Deere built a souped 430 engine for the later versions of the 440 industrials. A set of LP pistons, a cam from Robert's carb, a dry aircleaner conversion, three angle valve job, valve bowl blending and port matching. Then a dyno tuning session. Might make 40HP with the help of a tail wind on a good day. Could do alright in the 3000 to 3500lb class.
