what tractorpull is the biggest and badest with the most competition and best runnin tractors around? i have heard the dekalb super pull, and have heard tunica ..... .what is the best one for a spectater to see and learn.

you need to go to Tunica at least once.I have been every year since they started pulling there.Something serious will have to happen to keep me from attending that one.

Tunica is by far the best pull I have attended.
Dekalb use to be a good pull but the last few years its gone south with poor management. What a shame, I had a lot of fun pulling there.

Have not been to Dekalb, so I can't comment on it.
We have been to Tunica only to spectate last year, for spectators I would call it the Super Bowl of antique tractor pulls. We are planning to take a trailer load of tractors this year and having a good time. (Already have reservations made)
Excellent facility, huge pit area covered, plenty of parking, and above all what I noticed last year was the attitude of the promoters for all to have a good time.
I am sure there are some who may disagree, but it is the biggest antique pull that we have attended.

I would have to say that the Dekalb Super Pull was the best I have ever attended. As for the quality of the pulling tractors? They all seemed pretty tuff to me, including the guys from my club that pulled...really did well.

Yeah, I pulled at the Oakley show a couple years back. It was great. I pulled a 1947 UTU in the percentage class and got 10th out of about 85 tractors with 220%. I am not sure how many tractors total, but they divided them in to heavy and light. THe transfer sled was good too. I regret having to miss that pull the last few years. I'm sure I have talked to those folks. What were they pulling? I remember Smiths's. Abby pulled a nice STRONG Moline UTU.

they pull 3 different A's and a couple G's. one a is an old rusty unstyled, and the other one that would stand out is a styled A with flames coming off the "A".....there G has lots of stainless on it, they all run good, and are some of the best people pulling can bring...them tractors run good.

Yes its was Abby Smith (now Sellers) from Remus. She pulled either a gas or propane "U".

You may have mistaken us for another Smith, we pull the other green, a little orange, and a splattering of red at times.
We plan on arriving on Thurs. afternoon, cna we drop trailer at the arena and register? (Any practice pulls?)We plan on pre-registering on line, but may have a few last minute changes.

There's no problem getting "set up" Thursday afternoon. Most of our pullers will be doing the same. There won't be much "registering" to do if you do it on line. Everything will be ready. Just pick up your form, "make your donation", get a tractor number and relax until it's your time to pull.

There is no planned practice pulling. I wish time could allow such but all indications are that we'll need every available minute to get the regular pulling completed by a reasonable hour.

The pre-sign up form on the web page is ready for use. I was using the October 1st date to make sure everything would work properly. It does, so if you want to use it feel free to do so at your convenience. Last minute changes will no problem.
