I'm currently pulling my A' with 12.4" tires. After the every pull that I go to the conclusion is always the same. I need more traction so I can actually compete. What would be the best tire/rim size to go with?

I pull 16.9x38"s on mine in 7100-8100 Div.2, does just fine.

you don't think that 18.4's are a little overkill? I want to be able to pull farm stock. I was thinking 15.5 maybe 16.9

Mark, you'll have to forgive Mike, he's an extremist who only thinks BIG!! I pull my 51 'A' in division II or Farm Stock with 16.9 x 34s. These tires fit the rules for the club I pull with as well as the NATPA. There are some local back yard pulls that are locked in to 15.5 x 38s and thats it so check your rules before you decide. Like you, my first year of pulling was with 12.4 x 38s and the results were less than spectacular. Good luck pulling!!!

Steve
