What tool have you guys used that works well to
top cut your rear tractor tires? Thanks!

Experimented with a hand planer...cut just like a hot knife through butter!!! I may try it next year on some puller tires.

I used a hand held planer. Worked very well and it turned out as even on each lug as I wanted them. You can do it your self if you don't want to pay to have them done.

the fastest thing and clean cutting iv found is a 3 in black&decker hand held electric plaine for wood .cuts rubber fast and no sanding dust and very little smoke its smooth .use a electric tire regroover to cut the front

You be better off haveing them done in a machine.Would be cut the same size on each bar and would make the tire bite better! E-mail me if you want to.

I have used a #40 Grit flapper wheel. It is not as aggressive as some of the other tools used for cutting. Make sure to watch what direction you are cutting the bars. Some tires cut better in one direction than the other.
