i was just wondering if any has every ran an 8" stroker crank in a G minneapolis moline i have the oppertunity to buy one,but i was wondering how big you could go before you would start having problems braking it.I want alot of power but also need it to be relible thanks

7" is pretty common and sometimes they run out to 7.5. There were some 8" I knew about, but it seems like they were always breaking down. It would be sweet if it would hold together long enough. I don't imagine it would turn too many RPM before she blew.

There is a 8 inch UB in our club that runs pretty good. He had piston trouble at first, butthey seem to have fixed it since last year. Chad

I don't even pull MM, and I know they aren't reliable. I have just heard too many people who build them big, mention that. Why is the guy getting rid of it? If you had deep pockets, it would sure be fun, but as far as reliability is concerned, big mistake. my pro-rated $.02..AC
