Does anyone know if it rained all day at the fair today, just wondering if that Missouri mud will turn into a power track. Its been a while since I have been on the computer, I cant afford electricity and gasoline to mow the grass at the same time but since the yard is burnt up I am back on track. By the way Chad how about those re popped Moline blocks? In my neck of the woods the only percentage pullers are old women and children!

I talked to a guy that was there for the Smokers Sunday....Cancelled. Outlaws today..... Cancelled. They are not letting any traffic into the arena area. The spot where the scales are normally located is a lake. Officially, they have not called the antique pull off. It is day to day. The activities for tomorrow have been cancelled. My buddy says that even if they can make a track, you would be driving through water to get to it. Rained there Sat, Sun, and was raining there today. Delmer is supposed to arrive there tomorrow to make the official call....problem is, I don't know how to contact Delmer once he gets to the Fairgrounds. I have not loaded my tractor yet. I am hopeful, but if it rains one more time, I guess I just donated my entry fee.

A friend of mine was in Sedalia all weekend, and the way he talked, it rained there all weekend. I think the track will be hard as usual, because they ALWAYS are out there scooping the mud off the top and making a huge mound at the end of the track about an hour before the pull starts. I am more worried about the pit area being a sloppy, muddy mess.

Barring a downpour all day Wednesday, it should be an all day PARTY (I guess they have a tractor pull too) :-)

I was there yesterday. They didn't even make an attempt to get the Dodge Arena ready. It was a swamp after the rodeo Saturday night, pit area was worse. West parking lot was closed to all but 4x4 vehicles and they were having trouble getting out.

Talked to the guy who was supervising removal of the rodeo equipment - he told me that there's a big electrical cable buried in the arena and they don't think there's enough dirt in there to dig it out with a dozer without cutting the cable. True? Who knows.
