what was IH biggest engine?
got a guy with a 6030jd running a turned up 613 in stock farm, do to its the same block as the stock 531. does any one know a way to compete with this? stock rpm 466's arn't gettin close to him, would a hot farm 600cid engine run any dicent at stock rpms? can i make a 466 into anyting bigger? cam and head ideas? would like to make a reliable parade/pulling tractor out of a 10 or 14 IH but mostly would just like to beat that JD

case 504 sleeve and pistons with IH rods and 466 crank give you 540 ci.
are you limited on RPM?
if not you can smoke him with a 414,you just have to figure out how hard you have to turn it to do it.
a stock 414/436/466 will turn 5000 without and work other than the pump work it takes to get the 5000.
i have never seen a IH 400 series piston that is a ounce heavier or lighter than the next.
but if you want nig cube,the case parts work,but you have to have the sleeves cut down in length and have the o-ring grooves put back in the right spot,also have to bore the block.

i know a 466 will out smoke him with an inline pump and 5000 rpm. but only allowed 3000 rpm and stock style pump. some other ih guys got in truble for running inline pumps cuz they weren't factory on the '66 series. how do they make 600 cube smokers? maybe one of those with a 3 inch turbo, huge rotory pump, and different cam. will work. what type of whats cheaper buying the 540cid kit from hypermax 3500 +500 to bore the block or get the 504 sleeves cut? do you need a special head gasket with the 504 sleaves? hypermax you need to buy a head gaskit for another 750.

we had some tuff 5020 and 6030s than someone built a 7140 mangum and after some trans changing he is the one to beat! He put a real smackdown on everyone.

a ih 466 with all the right componets shoud run with him i have seen him run, i know for a fact that a 466 deere engine could run with him with the right equipment, he is a very stought tractor but not unbeatable. put an inline on that ih 466 and he will be begging you to take it off.
