I want to lighten the front of my 2255 Oliver.
Does anyone have any information on where I can purchase a light weight grill to replace the cast steel one that is on the tractor? Fiberglass or something?
Thanks for your help.

Here's a link to a picture of an ol' 2255 puller from years ago. It has a narrow front, and what looks to be a wood or fiberglass grille.

Saw a 2255 Ollie pull the 6000 lb class the other night at a brush pull.Had a fiberglass grill, homemade frame and wide front,1650 rear end,18.4x38's on pressed steel, etc.

I have seen Oliver fiberglass grills for sale but cant remember where.Ask at the pulloff forum.I may be needing one for my 1950.

How about using your cast grille to make a mold and using that to build a fiberglass unit?

Thats a good idea. Any ideas on who could do that?
The cast grill must weigh at least 350lb.

They weigh 500-600 pounds. Need to remove it and put a lighter front end underneath it. I have seen a photo on www.pulloff.com that had a tricycle underneath it and it looked good.
