Molasses pours faster than that pull was being run. They sure do need a motor that sled. and the guy lining up the tractors was glued to his chair.

Why have a line up guy? We post the order at the starting line and its up to the driver to make sure he's there and ready.Unless there's a good reasone for not being ready, you lose your hook if your not ready to hook when the sled is pulled back [or driven back]. Enforce this and you would be amased how much more attention is payed on whose turn it is. 190 or so hooks in 8 hrs is acceptable in my book.

hate you feel that way we done the best we could with what we had to do with. At this time we don't have a motorized sled so we will have to keep on like we are.

Maybe you need to start paying closer attention to your "minimum age" rule. This one sounds a little cranky as if he missed his bedtime. Guess you'll have to start handing out "pablum" and "pacifiers" if things run past sundown....Spot

190 + hooks - time 8 hours - 24 hooks and pulls per hour - one every 2.5 minutes - huh thats slow?

190 hooks in 8 hours with one pull back sled sounds like hussling to me. Must have been a tired crew that went home that day. We just completed a pull with 92 hooks that took 3 1/2 hours and our crew was tired especiatly in 85 degree sun.

Around our area I think only a couple of pulls use a sled with a motor rest all use sleds that need to be pulled back. A pull being done in that time with that many hooks I would say it was well done even if I wasn't there. Just speaking from the limited knowlage of pulls I have been to and seen how they have been run. I have helped out a few times when a pull has been short handed and a person does get a bit tired when its 90 and sunny out.

I thought the guys did a great job as always considering the number of hooks, Seems like they always follow the same classes in hook order, so if you don't like waiting, just show up later, that way you don't have to wait as long to hook. Always enjoy pulling with the dixie iron group and am looking forward to the next pull, Chad
