Whats the differance between the pistons out of a 4240 verses a 4440,is there a compresion differance. What about 4840s,4850s is there a noticeable differance in these four engines, big H.P. defferance. What about in the strength of rods? 466 cubes but require differant overhaul kits.Someone told me use 404t rods are they stronger or lighter? Please shed some light on this if you can. THANKS

Many times there will be a Standard duty rod.. and a Heavy Duty Rod.. Not sure in this case.. but I did see a few different rods listed.. (some where just Subs.) On the different pistons kits.. many times the higher HP engines will use different compression ratios. (low compression)And they will use a higher quality pistons.. one that can take more heat.
