A power block has a bigger bore than the Deere block it replaces. The "B" series has a 5" bore instead of a 4.5" or 4-11/16" (depending on year). The "A" and "60" power block has a 6" bore instead of 5.5". The G power block is 6.5" bore instead of 6.125" Hope this answers your question. Mike

Higher compression ratio as well. The higher expansion ratio allows more energy to be extracted from the hot high pressure gasses in the combustion chamber.
