THE ONLY PLACE YOU MIGHT HAVE CONTACT WOULD BE THE DOME AREA !
SET THE HEAD ON WITH NO GASKET !
IF IT HITS, THEN START GRINDING THE DOME'S FOR FIT !

The 8060 head is NOT as good as the 450 gas head. Use different domes and keep the better head. And yes the Super M thru 450 flywheel will work on your old M. Use a Super M clutch disk for correct spline. Ag Parts sells HD clutch and pressure plates for this application available at most tractor dealerships.

8060 head and firecraters will hit, The later heads SM-450 were made for the firecrater piston design. There is a slant along one side of the compression chamber on the later heads that makes room for the shape of the firecrater. Super M heads the good one is the 8574 castings, same as the 400-450 gas heads, but with the old 4 digit casting codes. 8060 in my book dont belong on super M's Messes up the induction system. ChadS

Check clearance with PLAY DOUGH, the kind the kids have, just put little balls of the stuff on top of the piston put the head on with an old gasket then rock the crank back and forth on top dead center, remove head and measure the thickness of the dough.
