Howdy all, I'm an FFA Advisor in SW Missouri and I want to host an antique and classic tractor this year. I've got a good location and a place for a track. But, my question is, what insurance should I have to keep my school or city out of trouble? Are there specific policies that can be taken out for tractor pulls? Do any of you have pulls that don't have insurance? Would the ol "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS" sign work for anything? If all works out well, I would like this to grow into a whole schedule of pulls throughout the summer. If you could post me some responses, it would help me in talking to my school administration and insurance agent.

Thanks, Mr. J

You need insurance! Even if you never use it, and pray that you don't, you sure don't want to get caught without it in case something would happen. You need liability for the spectators if nothing else.

Some sleds carry insurance or can help you find it, or maybe you could get sponsoring through a Lions Club or a similar organization. We are going to have an antique only pull with a club I belong to, and our quotes are running from $150.00 and up, and some places won't even quote us.

I'm an insurance agent in Missouri and I have a market for tractor pulls. E-mail me if interested. I can do a single event or multiple year long activities.

Steve
