I was wondering if anybody could tell me how a Farmall SC would do pulling and what tractors it would be pulling against? It would be pulling in either 3400 or 3700 pound stock class depending on which fair I go to. I bought this tractor in the fall and would like to try pulling it at the local fairs. I have no idea how to setup this little SC, still trying to figure out how to setup the RPM to 1800. I don't mind losing, like the fun of it and shooting the breeze with the guys but would like to be at least competitive. Any hints or advice anybody?

I pull a '51 super C in a stock 3600 pound class. It does rather well. It does best when I run about 6 pounds of air in my new Firestone Field and Road (11.2 x 36). I usually pull against a couple of Allis WCs, a styled JD B, and a Cockshutt 30. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

The stock drawbar is rather limber. I have two cables supporting mine. It helped a lot. 1 set of wheel weights and a small suitcase on the drawbar.
