went to a stock dyno pull sunday that was a new low, even for them..... it was suppose to be 3 farm stck...10,12,15000.. 100,120,165hp classes....1 hour before the start they tell us the dyno hasnt showed up but they called, and they just left, from where...who knows....they said theyd allow 10% hp to offset this, when the dyno came..theyd dyno after we pulled.. 20 minites before the pull is to start, they have a drivers meeting. they say the dyno isnt coming and going to be a open hp pull,3000 rpm....so everyone that showed turned up their tractors, but noticed that 3 tractors, that the guys who put on the pull had brought, were not being changed ....thought it was odd, till the the first guy started down the track in the 15000-165hp,now open class, was a 4640 with a old puller pump on it,smoked the whole way down the track...prob in the 325-350+ hp range...ran down the track in d-2 about 12-14mph at what seemed to be higher then 3000 rpm's, this happened with the other 2 guys...the guys who put on the pull, had there tractors setup for the open classes before the day of pull....and one guy who was in the track committee, had a 4440 in 12000 class with cast wheels, I asked to see him weigh and the whole group refused to have him scale, said he "scaled earlier", well i was parked by the scale and it never came through there....gladly enough the kid with the 4640, who pulled d2 was to stupid to pull in a lower gear when he opted to come back, and the other prick stunn out early. i have a 1206 with stock pump cranked that day, and came home with two 2nd's....there's an instance with the one of the pulls, but i wont even go into that..
the 3 guys who ran the pulls and rigged the whole thing, had two 5ths and a 4th, has anybody seen anything this bad before? they came to win in the 3 classes and gladly came home with nothing, if your from the Wyoming IL bunch and reading this, eat sh*t, i beat you at your own game.....

I would like to give some more tought to Tony about the Wyomig pull being unfair. I would like to know why it is at laura, if any tractor beats you or your dad, they get protested as being a big horse, but if you win and somebody wants to protest your tractors we get told that the committee has no problem with your tractor, just anybody who beats you. Sounds real fair to me. You say that your 1206 is stock, hard to beleive that the way it was smoking coming down the track at Laura. And by the way, I never saw you re-dyno that 1206 between 12 and 15,000 classes. So i assume that you are not playing by the rules either. Also, we noticed several red tractors showed up later in the day, and they never went on the dyno either. This has happened more than once at the Laura pull!! If i were you i would stop running your whiny mouth.

Hey Tony! How about all the bullsh**t you and your dad pull at the Laura tractor pull every year. Talk about rigging a pull!!! What goes around, comes around. I bet that smta you pull is 100% stock too!

Heck, you think thats bad, there is a club around here that told me as long as his brother-in-law is in the same class as me I will never beat him or win as they will drop the hammer on me and laugh at me when they do. They did it twice, once after I took 3 firsts at a pull earlier in the day at another location, dropped the pan so hard it snapped my neck when I stopped. I am not the only one they have done this too, several in our club has pulled with them and the same thing has been done to them, try and vido them and they have a fit. Never going back, no how, no way. But what goes around comes around and they will get theirs.

We were there pulling , been going there for years , probably from the first pull they ever had . We came there with a 4020 dynoed (on our own old M&W dyno) at 120hp and a 4430 at 165hp . Our dyno matched theirs pretty close last year but we were going to check them anyway before the pull just to be right . When we found out the dyno wasn't going to be there we figured we better do some turning up or we would be left out . My son and I did what any good old puller would do , TURN her UP . They said you could turn up the pumps but keep the rpm's reasonable and that's what we did . We weighed every time to make sure things were right .
When you go to a pull you have to be prepared for things to change , been like that since I have been pulling 30+ years . I have always went by the rules of the pull , I have taught my boys to do likewise , if the rules change we change , if the rules bend we bend for the ocassion . You have a good running 1206 , runs good for a stock .370 pump.

never said anything, dirty about ya jim, just about the pull...worst one ive been to as far as that stuff goes, esp when ya consider everyone who had a hand in setting up the pull, had a trick up there sleeve... you have a damn good running 4430, been my arch rival for 2 years now, and love to compete with ya....you know, they had a tractor sent up to win each class, with the dyno that was never coming, and ended up with no trophies....still ended up being you and me in the end, just like last year....i just need a bigger pump, if they are going to start doing that again, im sure ill see ya at laura with something...we hauled 25 more loads of clay in for this year so maybe the track will be alittle better....last year there wasnt much left of her after the rains

Way to stay in there and duke it out with em! We had a incident years back when the new radar system did not work so they turned em loose, no speed limit, I learned real quick, if that happens again, either have a tractor that can run a bit over if it can, try and run with em, or withdrawl from the class and keep your $$, I go for it everytime, win lose or draw, sure its not fair, ollie 88's running 3000 rpm and 12 mph, against a tractor that runs 2000, and 5 mph, but hey, it was fun to watch. it happened again soon after, and I was on top of the game, and beat em too! Sure did upset em when that happened. Funny, after that, never had any problems with radar,,, Chad

sounds like pulls in north east pa they used to put a couple of blocks on the front of the scale and the ones putting on the pull always weighd last and took the blocks of they had a 47 jd a with cast wheels and rock shaft on it in th 3000 class while i with a 43 jd b and steel wheels was in the 4000 class everybody figured them out so they dont do that now.

Many years ago, when pulls first started to get organized, a simular situation took place at the first pull I attended. I never have attended another pull. Let the cheats have there own fun but it will not be at my expense.

I went to a pull recently and overheard one of the guys measuring hitchs tell the other guy that if any of the pullers give him a hard time he pulls out his tape measure that has 1" cut off the end when they come back and recheck after they pulled. No one must have given him a hard time since all the rechecks passed. Still!!!!! !

how about this. jd g pulling in the 7500 farm stock class and taking 3. lost to a couple of cockshots that were turned up and throwing out smoke. thats not even the worst part. he beat 5 4010s that pulled in the class and he was running about 10 mph and ran out of traction. rumor has it that it dynoed at 130 hp cause it was sold at an auction for around 13000 or something like that. good thing i just pull for fun.

Are you talking about the pull at Two-Top in Pennsylvania a few Saturday"s ago? If you are, I was there too. I pulled the other G in the class. (I went in 1st gear, he was in at least 3rd, hmmm....) I sure liked watching that souped up G pull, but he"s definitly not farm stock. I"m like you though, just pull for fun and see how I do. There"s no way I can compete with all those 4010"s.
