Hey Wes (from across the street?)

May want to try the John Deere forum for more info. J.D.'s a little off color for me but is there anyway you can build clamps that wrap around the axles and have that hold the angle iron for the weights?

If you are the Wes I know....bet your gettin' ready for the fair, eh!

Hey Danny,

It looks like your sled held up fairly well at Muddy Run! I like the rope & flag system. It looks like it really needs a rabbit attached to the rope to make it more like a dog track. You guys always do a great job and we had as good a time as we ever do.

Hey thanks! We jumped up a class with that new pan. Don't know if you noticed or not but we stopped the 6500 class and we didn't have to use as many weights in the pan. Kind of hoping we can do the 7500 class at the fair. All of this is good but I'm a little concerned whether the garden tractors will be able to pull it or not. Guess we'll wait and see~!

Yeah, the sled did real good. Where are all those guys that thought that sled was a joke 2 years ago? Jerry's sled seems a little tougher this year also. Like a fool I tried 2nd gear in the 10500 class and ran out of power. I pulled there last year with no problems and that is the first time that I have run out of power in 10500 class in 2nd gear. If it weren't for my own stupidity, I would have placed in that class, but then again, that's what pulling is all about isn't it? Sometimes the only one that can beat you is yourself and of course Les Landis!

You guys did one hell of a job and should be proud. You definitely earned what little bit of money that you get! That had to be the biggest turnout that Mike has ever had. I can't wait until October now.
