Here are the Garden Tractor Rules for 2005 to the best of my knowledge. Call Mike Scollon for questions at 989-593-3625.Clintonia Antique Farm Power Club 2005 Youth Garden Tractor Rules 1.Driver must be 14 years of age or younger. 2.Each driver must have a permission slip signed by a parent or gaudian before pulling. 3.Each driver must have a yearly safe driver certification before pulling. A yearly safe driver certification will be awarded upon completion of maneuvering through a mandatory obstacle course and tractor inspection. 4.Tractor must be operated in a safe and slow manner at all times. 5.Only the track crew allowed on the track while tractors are pulling. 6.Each driver is allowed two consecutive pulls. 7.Driver must remain seated, no leaning or bouncing, no jerking of the chain, and must stay within the boundary lines. 8.All moving parts must have safety guards. Operator�s feet must be shielded from the tires. Tractors must have a working emergency cut-off switch mounted on or near the hood. All tractors must have working mufflers. 9.Wheelie bars must be used. Wheelie bars must support the weight of the tractor. Wheelie bars cannot allow front wheels to rise more than 12� off the ground. Wheelie bars must extends a minimum of 6� beyond the outside diameter of the tires. (6� rule to be enforced summer of 2006) 10.Weight cannot extend more than 12� beyond the rear wheels or 24� beyond the front wheels. Height cannot be more than 32� from the ground. 11.Engine must have a working governor and not exceed 3600 RPM. 12.Drawbar cannot be more than 10� from the ground. 13.Maximum tire size is 12� x 12� x 26�. Lawn and garden turf tires or agricultural tires only. No cut tires or tire chains. No quad tires. 14.No mower decks, 4-wheel drives, 2-cycle motors, or motorcycle motors. Garden tractor type motors only. Eighteen horsepower maximum. Stock garden tractors only. 15.Hydrostatic drive tractors allowed. Hydros may be moved forward (faster), but but must be slowed down until pull is stopped. 16.One trophy per class will be awarded. The child with the best pull will qualify for the trophy. Weight classes are as follows: 600 lbs, 800lbs, 1000 lbs, and 800 lb turf tires. Any decisions made by the pulling committee are final. Any questions, call Mike at 989-593-3625
