Both my girlfriend and Mom told Dad and I if we expected them to accompany us to any pulls, we needed to paint our tractors so they were "shiny and nice". Does this have to do with women's addiction to anything shiny and expensive? Maybe this explains the story of how my M-M UB Diesel came to be known as "Ring Money".

Well I was lucky enough to get a wife who didn't want a HUGE ring. After 17 yrs I am still trying to figure that one out but I sure ain' complaining any! My pullers are definatly not pretty but they do pretty good and my wife still smiles when she takes my picture on it. maybe she is thinking of that life insurance policy..... .....

Not all women like "pretty-shiney" things, I'd rather put the money into the motor and make the guys wonder when I win. I had a diamond, then another, but lost them both working on "RED". Seems I can hold onto a tractor better than I can a tractor and I can always find her. LOL

LOL I have to laugh at this. When I got engaged, I was reay to start pulling. That money went on her finger. saved again, then built a house, filled it with furniture, had a daughter, still no puller...

Don't get me wrong, the best tractor on the planet isn't worth what they are to me, but everytime I get hollered at for my feet on the table, I remark as to whether she might like to dust my turbocharger!

I sold my MF 135 Diesel to buy my gal a ring this spring. I told her that when she gets the ring that I want an LP head for my Super M. She said she'll do it, but I want to see it happen before I get too excited.

My wife want's me to paint them PINK with black trim to match the dance studio collars where our daughter takes lessons. Now picture that in your mind (LOL) I don't think so !!!!!

I put a ring on my girls hand a year ago. She calls it her ring, I call it my stroker motor. I could of had one bad motor for the $$ of that little diamond. I told her I bought her an expensive ring she could buy me a stoker motor of same value. That went over like a fart in church!!!!! I even told her that I would think of her everytime I pull that tractor. Still nothing!!!!!

I feel your pain, I'm engaged and it's a double whammy. There's the money for the ring,(I didn't know there was a wedding band until I went shopping) Thats money that comes out of the fun budget and then you have to start saving for a wedding, honeymoon, and new decorations because the deerhead and complete framed set of dogs playing poker doesn't belong in a living room. All things aside I'm pretty lucky.

Women are like crows: they're drawn to shiney things.

When I brought home the AC WC, my wife said "what the @#$% is that?" She told it was ugly and dirty. After is was cleaned and painted it could sit in the garage next to her car. The working stuff has to stay in the barn. She will continue to call the MH44 ugly until it is painted.

I say they are comfortable in their old work clothes.

I think when the little woman asks me to paint anything one more time, I"ll say "shave your legs twice as often, and we might be able to work something out".

Ethan:

I can not believe that I am having to say this to a man so brilliant that he likes Prairie Gold. From my buddy Dr Robinson: Smile and Nod, Smile and Nod, Yes Dear, Yes Dear. Practice it a while; until comes as a reflex. works great for "domestic tranquility". Best, Phil

Rozie hasn't even had a bath since I dragged her out of the fencerow a few years back. I'm afraid that if I paint her the wife WILL want to drive...

I believe that the appearance of my tractor and auto, Truck reflect on me as a person. If their rusty and dirty they stay home until I can make a better apearance with them. Mine are still not the best.
