Just wondering if anyone knew what the pulling order for sat will be. Also heard that maybe a 6700 stock class has been added. Will it be pulled in Albemarle?

LW, I read your question yesterday and responded with a question. If you are pulling a GVI with a 6 cylinder or a MM that originally came with a 6 cylinder then there should not be a problem with you pulling at Albemarle. It is hard for me or the rest of the Teck crew to say yes or no without knowing which model you are pulling. However, if you are legal at OTPA or CATPA then you should be legal to pull with us Hope to see you this weekend
Thanks Eric

Hey LW,
DRSR pulls a 6 cyl Moline on a regular basis. I figure the only problem you might have is the 7.5 MPH speed limit. Stock is 3.0 as opposed to 3.5 that I'm used to so I might be in trouble too. 'Sounds like there might be a good turnout so come on if you can. The good people of Stanley Co. would probably get a charge out of seeing your tractor even if the horn does blow a little.

I DIDN'T MENTION THE HEADS. WHEN I ASKED DARREL ABOUT RUNNUNG THE HD-800 ENGINE . HE REALY DIDN'T GET A YES OR NO ANSWER IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME AGO SINCE I PONDERED THE IDEA. BUT I MUST HAVE HAD MY DOUBTS . THAT IS MOST LIKELY WHY MY 800 IS STILL SETTING ON THE FLOOR OF MY SHOP AND NOT IN MY GVI.I HAD PLANNED TO PULL MY TRACTOR IN HEAVY STOCK CLASSES THATS WHY I ONLY ENHANCED THE ORIGIONAL ENGINE THAT CAME IN MY OLD TRACTOR AND LOW AND BEHOLD IT RAN GOOD ENOUGH TO PULL IN THE SUPER CLASSES AT SATPA AT THE 7.5 MPH AND DECIDED TO PULL IT IN THE SUPER CLASSES BECAUSE I KNOW DARREL YORK HAD TO BE TIRED OF PULLING BY HIMSELF ALL THE TIME . I ALSO DECIDED THAT I WOULD WAIT AND SEE THE RESPONCE BY THE LOCAL PULLS TO THE BEAST YOU WERE BUILDING BEFORE I WENT TO THE TROUBLE OF BUILDING THE 800 ONLY TO HAVE IT OUT LAWED AND NOT BE ABLE TO PULL IN COMPETITION. I SAW WHAT HAPPEND TO THE GVI THAT DAVE NEWBERT BUILT WITH THE 800 AND LATER WHEN I SAW IT D.T. SHERRILS HAD TOLD ME THAT HE COULD ONLY PULL IT WITH WIT A COUPLE CLUBS AND THAT WAS BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN ALLOWED IN UNDER THE CLUB'S GRANDFATHER CLAUSE. DARREL PLYLER HAD ALWAYS SAID THAT IF CREDITABLE DOCUMENTATION COULD BE SUPPLIED TO CONFIRM THAT A 800 HAD BEEN INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY OR WAS A AUTHORISED FACTORY REPLACEMENT ENGINE THEN I COULD RUN THE 800. TROUBLE IS I WAS NEVER ABLE TO COME UP WITH THE DOCUMENTATION I HAD ORIGIONALY PLANNED TO BUILD A MASSY SUPER 95 .I GUESS BECAUSE I'M A RED TRACTOR PERSON DEEP DOWN AND BEEF UP THE OLD 800 AND SLIDE IT INTO A SUPER 95 TO PULL SUPER ANTIQUE HOWEVER THERE IN LIED YET ANOTHER PROBLEM . I NEVER WAS ABLE TO COME UP WITH DOCUMENTATION THAT THE SUPER 95 WAS BUILT 1960 OR BEFORE . I KNOW THEY PULL THEM IN A LOT OF THE CLUBS UP NORTH AND THE MID - WEST . WHO'S RULES CLEARLY READ 1959 OR BEFORE . BUT WHEN I MADE CONTACT WITH SOME OF THE MEMBERS NO ONE COULD PRESENT A DOCUMENT THAT STATED AS MUCH . I GUESS THEY JUST LET THEM IN SO THE GVI'S WOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO PULL AGAINST. AND BY THE WAY THEY ARE MOSTLY RUNNING THE 800'S HOWEVER YOU CAN BUILD THE OLD 425'S AND RUN WITH THE 800'S IT JUST COST A LOT MORE TO GET THE SAME HORSE POWER AND IT PROBABLY WON'T BE AS DURABLE DUE TO THE SHORT CONNECTING ROD. I GUESS ON OF THESE DAYS I'LL BUILD ONE OR THE OTHER AND WAIT TO SEE HOW THE RULES ARE WRITTEN SO I WILL KNOW WHAT TO BUILD. BUT BY ALL MEANS LW BRING THE BEAST ON AND PULL IT . I ALWAYS ENJOY SEEING THAT BAD MOLINE PULL. THE MOST THAT CAN HAPPEN IS YOU MAY WIND UP PULLING OUT OF COMP . BUT I DOUBT IF ANYONE WILL PROTEST YOUR TRACTOR . I CERTIANLY WON'T AND I'M PRETTY SURE YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO PULL IN COMP. IT'S ALL IN FUN ANYWAY . I BEEN PULLING FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND TO YET HAVE NOT WON A DIME. TX, DR SR
