Seen a post below that sparked my interest.I have a kerosene motor that has been restored and like to pull with it,yeah,I know, not the best to pull with but I enjoy it.Now,the question, how much more horse power could I get if I used the octane boost you can buy at the parts store? Also, will it hurt the engine? I'm thinking about using the high grade of gas with the boost that claims to have a 14 point octane boost.

Octane does NOTHING to improve power. Octane is how resistive the fuel is to preigintion. I have seen an engine lose horsepower from using too high of octane fuel. You only want as much octane as absolutly necessary.
