I've heard of advancing the camshaft one tooth on an MM U to give it better low end power. Will this work on other tractors, such as the Allis CA that I pull, possibly giving it enough torque to pull in 2nd gear? Could this be done to any tractor as a relatively easy way to gain a little more low end torque?

50% OF WHAT? The only way is to use a degree wheel, otherwise you are wasting your time.
