what are some easy ways to get more horsepower out of a stock super m?

Get electronic ignition, open the spark gap, and get yourself a bigger carb. ChadS has the info on the carb, search the messages.

Keep the color wars out of it. If chads responds he usually has some good ideas about "tweeking". Search the achives of this forum under that name. There are a lot of posts regarding governors, carb rejetting, valve settings and timing.

I think you missed the whole question, he said MORE hoarsepower, selling the farmall and going green is an easy way to loose hoarsepower.
