Is it possible to add a turbo to a naturally aspirated perkins 236 diesel on an allis 170 or 175? I am considering buying one of these and wanted a little more horsepower for field work, and I figured you pulling guys would know the most about this subject. I wouldn't be demanding 100% from this tractor, just a little boost to give it more torque rise. I was wondering what problems I might run into. I have heard the JBC used a turbo on this engine that mounted downward, toward the side of the engine which would help with keeping the hood stock. Will a naturally aspirated perkins be the same internally as a turbocharged? I know ford has differences, but wasn't sure about the perkins. Also, what would I have to do to hook this turbo up (manafold, running exhaust, oil, etc)? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hurst.

several massey tractors have a turboed 236 from the factory there will be a difference in the pistons but you can go ahead and run it in the field, several of the newer 300 series tractors had them like 390t
