I am looking to build a hot 4500-5500lb tractor are local classes are pretty much stock and hot stock. The hot stock class is pretty much wind it up and let her go. Tire size's are pretty much the only restriction. What I am wondering is what tractor would be the best bang for the buck and why brand not important.

well,

I think the best bets would be one of the following...

Farmall-M
International - 560
Oliver 88
Case 600
MM U or GVI

See if you can put a RD 501 in a 560 and still be legal...The most affordable bang for buck has gotta be a Moline..

Strip down an old MM U. Theye look good and balance well if you do it right. Engines from stock 283 cubes to over 800 depending on what you do. Maybe a UB or 5-star would work.
