I have a question or two. I have 2 560 IH's one gas and one diesel. Both are completley stock internally with the exception of the gasser with a combine governor and carb . Both tractors will rev way above the factory settings. Is there any rpm restrictions in (what they call it here) "out of the field class". Last year there were some Olivers that sounded like they were turning up around 5000,my gasser will turn out 3500 and the diesel governs out at 2800 with a little load.

Double the rpms and the centrifical stress increases four times. Triple the rpms and centrifal force and stress is increased nine times.

And if the engine/flywheel has not been apart and retoruqed recently, Id keep it under 20% over rpms. Chad

the gasser would be fine here in MN,but if the diesel has a turbo some of them boys will lay on the ground kicking and screaming!
