i'm wondering what would be the best spark plug to use in a MH 44. right now, compression is around stock, head is not ported, but carb has been upgraded.i'm using champion D-16's right now with pretty good numbers from the dyno. would D-21's (hotter plug) help, or perhaps another manufacturer? thanks.

What coolant temp does she run, how much time do you spending idling and is the idle mixture on the rich or lean side? Any sign of detonatin, knocking or pinging with the current set-up?

temp runs around 170-180 under load, i try not to idle excessively because it tends to load up with fuel. i don't want to wash down a cylinder. the idle screw is out about 1/4 turn. seems tight, but idles great down to 450 RPM. main screw is out about 1-1/4 turns. i set it on a dyno, along with the timing.no sounds of knocking, pinging, or detonation. it's probably about right, but i'm wondering if i can get any more power.

Ultra Mega Turbo Blaster Blitzburg magnetic spark plugs do not add power. Just go with a warm to hot non resisitor plug like an Autolite 3116.
