Dynoed my H Farmall with high compression pistons and stock bore and got 33hp at 540. I previously jetted my H carb at about 4 drill bit sizes (using the 1000th scale drill bits) over the stock jet size--this ended up at what was equivelent to a 1/16 " bit. I can open the main screw and make the tractor blow black smoke at full throttle setting still, but on the dyno at 540 the main screw had no effect on the HP guage on the dyno. I almost had the screw out and there was no change on the dyno and under the load there was no black smoke. So....do I rejet again? If so, how much more? I am at about 152 lbs. compression across the board. Thanks in advance.

Redcub, what did the spark plugs look like? Should be brownish color, if its white, its not getting enough fuel. Black, too much. While under a load, and you back the main adjustment out on the carb, and the dyno HP does not drop off, or, dont have any more adjustment left, (backed all the way out) Your not getting enough fuel. 33hp is not shabby for a stock bore H, could be a few more if you have the big carb, and new style cam. think about the metering stem holes, you should be able to make it choke out under a load from too much fuel, HP drops off when the load screw is backed out, and its running rich.
