Did anyone catch the army tractor pull episode Monday night? Did the weight move on the sled? I don"t think it did. What was a fairly good show was ruined with the so called FULL PULL. I even think that the thing was in low gear. The GREAT JESSE must of been scared of all that horsepower!!!!! !!

It's a TV show. For entertainment. I didn't find it too entertaining when they floated around a lake in a school-bus converted to a pontoon boat. The entertainment is in the build, and questions of whether or not they'll get done. When they were building that hearse that they ended up blowing up, I could have told them that those puny little v-belts weren't going to handle driving those hydraulic pumps. Nobody is an expert on everything, and obviously on a show like that, they're shooting for entertainment value, not function.

I agree, I dont think the box did move. When he took off I was like "uhhh, when are the wheels gonna start spinning" I saw the first part and then I missed most of it till the pull. What did they do for a tranny? They should have had plenty of power to spin the wheels, they weren't even that big and they were burned off!! I was disappointed to say the least, and then ITS A FULL PULLL!!! ya right!!

they had a racing automatic between the engines and a big truck tranny. Don"t know how many speeds were in the truck tranny but it looked like a 9 speed.

I wasn't too impressed with it either.I wondered why he didn't go a few gears higher, but WHY on Gods green earth would you destroy an old Willys when the only part used was part of the front clip!Between him and those other "parts assymblers" at Orange Co.who buy all their components and then modify them slightly and have someone else paint it,it's about a waste of time to watch.

Orange County Choppers is represented on "American Chopper", not "Monster Garage". And yes, Orange County does build their bikes mostly out of purchased components. Most "custom chopper" companies do. Jesse James' company, West Coast Choppers, manufactures most of the stuff they sell in-house, i.e. their tanks, fenders, frames, etc. Jesse can sit down any day of the week and hand-form a tank just like he always could. I suspect that a lot of the time, he'd RATHER be doing that than jumping through all the various hoops I'm sure he has to with his new-found fame. The Discovery Channel shows about Jesse pretty much started this current motorcycle craze. He started his business with nothing, not even a loan to get started on, and is now a world-famous multi-millionaire. You can't blame a guy for taking what's offered, can you?

Yah, that was very depressing to see them two supercharged big blocks getting pulled in low gear with what seemed to be no weight. what a waste of good engines.

Ya'll are way behind. Go to Reddog's site and he has a explanation. I believe originally slated to just pull the car, then the pull was brought up. Needless to say the one of the builders wanted to go back and match the gearing for the pull track, but the experts thought it would be just fine. They may know horsepower just not pulling power.
