Are 18.4's too big for a 60 hp G pulling from 5000 to 7500 lbs? Don't have much experience pulling this G, and am looking for any advice. Thanks

I pull a 68 hp G in 5500-7500 classes, with 16.9 x 38's. This is the tire size I would recommend for the classes your pulling and the horsepower your making. If you were running 75-80 horsepower then I would say run the 18.4's. You might be able to run them in the light classes, but when you get to 7000-7500 you'll probably run out of power.

I would think you'd like those big tires in the 5000 but would run into trouble in the 7500 unless it was a real loose track. I have a G with 55 hp and 14.9's on 14" rims, on biting clay tracks I run out of power in 7500 farm stock.

It depends a whole lot on the track and sled you're pulling. i've got a 60 horse G that chokes on 15.5-38s in 6000-6500. we pull heavy sleds though and a lot of times we'll have a clay track.
