I was wondering about a comparison of these 4 tractors. I have a lot of experince with the 1100 but what are the differences with these others. Looking to go pulling against some stout IH 10-1466 as well as JD 4430 What tractor should i go for that can be reduced on weight. Want one with factory turbo if possible. What is the potential for the 354? Can i get it to run 400 horse? Seems like the IH an JD guys are getting this many HP. Anyone with experience or tips would be appresiated.

wnymark Just wondering where you do your tractor pulling? Will you be able to pull in the under 10500lb class? Just wondering. We are getting the Deutz tuned up and ready for this season. Our first pull in WNY that I know of is North Collins on June 5th. Hope to see you there.

My neighbor has an 1130 Massey that hes been pulling, he is guessing around 250 horse and the tractor runs pretty good. Now 400 horse, I'm not saying it cant be dont but it will cost a whole lot more to get that out of a 354 than any deer case or IH. They are at the point they cant do much more without spending alot of money. They just cant keep up with the 4320s,4430s, 1066s, 1070s. In my opinion if you were going to try to get 400 horse I would be looking for a different tractor.

I WOULD APPRICIATE ANY INFO ON MAKING THESE SIX CYLINDER PERKINS RUN. I HAVE A 1130 THAT SOMEONE HAS STARTED PULLING AT ONE TIME, BARE WIEGHT IS 5500LBS, HAS A 4LE CHARGER, HAVE NO IDEAL WHAT KIND OF PUMP WORK. NEVER BEEN INSIDE THE MOTOR.
I WOULD LIKE TO RUN LIGHT WIEGHT HOT FARM CLASS THAT COULD BE GETTING STARTED IN MY AREA. I TOO WOULD TO SEE MORE INFO ON THESE 354 PERKINS ENGINES.
