From experience, I had mine set as far out as they would go as it was just wide enough to hrow the dirt up beside the sled pan instead of in front of it. Well ok tht wasn't the reason but tht is what happened, reason was the hubs were stuck and I was too lazy to free them up.

It worked really good except that one wheel was about an inch or so closer in than the other. Most of the time if I got the front end off of the ground i would pull to the left. As long as you knew this you were find as you just start down the right side. After fooling with ire pressure and stuff I decided to turn the wheels around and get them closer. As for pulling it didn't seem to increase my power or anything but i stopped the going to one side as much so i could actually go farther. it also made it alot safer to load on the trailer as the rear tires were as wide as the trailer with no clearance.

Make sure your hitch and hubs are cenered and leave them out for a few pulls and see what it does.If it doesn' seem ot help alot move them in. Biggest advantage I could see was it let the dirt you dug up be to the side of the sled insead of in front of it.

hehe true but at least I look better going straigh than at an angle :) I'll be at UC , I heard the hook fee this year is $15. If this keeps up those plow days are looking better you know? Hey the next week you ought to ride up to Dresden for a little bit. We aare having the King of the Hill pull right at Noon. 6250 lbs. You could ride up watch it then go back to mayfield and still pull probably ...LOL!!!!

Bought an Oliver 1800 diesel at the fulton auction a couple of months ago that will be up there as well as the LPG one. George is putting the pull on and he is going to have an non turbo class for the newer tractors. I'll have the REAL GREEN represented well!!! LOL!!!!

See ya!

If the sled pan digs a ditch, leave em wide.
