Wrist pin bushings

I'm making wrist pin bushing (at the piston) to get a larger wrist pin piston down to my wrist pin size. What should I use to build them? Aluminum, like the piston, steel like the wrist pin or something else? Also since the piston clips wont keep the actual wrist pin in, anybody got any good ideas how to fix this problem?

Make buttons that fit your pin and bush the piston they will also retain the pin. 932 bronze(660) is a standard material for wrist pin bushings very forgiving,954 is alum/bronze and a little harder to work with but takes a lot more pressure a little harder on the pin but for the button/bushing combo it would be my material of choice.

"660" bearing bronze would be my material of choice. This is the material for many wrist pin bushings.

JDBERT, I have bushed a lot of pistons and never had a problem.Email me I can walk you through it. Aluminum like the piston ,but a few tricks.Earl In Illinois

Mine on a H were built out of brass that was 4 or 5 year ago no problimes yet.
