I built a lite weight wide front end for my 460 that weighs less than 175 lbs. For the front axle, I used a front steer axle from a gravity wagon running gear. I narrowed it up to the width I wanted. I used a piece of box tube from a John deere cultivator to weld it to the front frame rails. The Box tube, fit perfectly into the frame rails of the 460, and after I welded it, I made 4 long threaded rods to go all the way through the frame rails, and the box tube to keep the frame rails together. I should have made plates to bolt the box tube into the frame rails, but it worked out ok. Ihad about 40 bucks in the whole thing. Rack and pinion steering easily adapted to the wagon gear steer axle. Just watch out for the thickeness of the steel used in the axle frame. Mine was bout .195 thick. Look inthe YT photos and look for 460 puller, and you can see a picture of it. Looks good, and can hold some weight! Hope this helped, ChadS
