Many of these HUGE cid engines are not efficient power producers. I would suggest a smaller engine depending on what class you want to pull.To many of the motors are made too big and can't breathe well enough to make high HP to CID numbers.Remember ,big horses eat and crap a LOT!

4.75 bore and 6.625 stroke is the biggest one I've heard of. Marty

Stock WC is 201 CID, 4"x4". Use 41/8" sleeves & pistons gets you up to 213 CID. Add a 41/2" stroke crank from a WD45 & you are at about 240 CID. The 45 crank will go into all but the very earliest WC engines, but the D17 has larger main bearings. The rods are the same in WC, WD, & WD45, so you should use 45 pistons w/ the 45 crank.Bottom line without going to custom cranks etc. You can build the same displacement in the WC block as you can the 45 or D17.

Do you know about that black WC at Wauseon "Bad as I Want to Be?" I wonder what was in that?

I heard of a WD down south somewhere that was almost 5", but that could have been a tall tale...
