weights,better front or back?

is it better to have the weights under the clutch housing or above the drawbar on a super m pulling in 5,500 and 6,500 with 14.9's

It all depends. I'd definitely build a good rear weight rack, a belly bar and a good front rack. With 14.9s on an average track you'll need plenty of weight on the back. If it stands up, move some off the back to the front. I try to keep the belly bar weights constant and move from the front to the back and vice versa to balance the tractor. If you've got a pretty strong motor and the rules allow it go with 16.9X38 tires on 14-15 inch rims. Will give you a little more speed and a lot bigger footprint
