We are updating the RPM sheet for the Missouri State Fair antique pull. There are a few tractors that we do not have on our list. Can anyone tell me the fast idle RPM of an IHC 10-20, 15-30, F12 and a MH 101 Junior? Thanks in advance. By the way, the rules are now changed for this year and will allow all of the antique and classic classes to run 10% over stock RPM's instead of the previous stock setting. We are hoping this will speed up the checking on the morning of the pull as most associations are running the faster RPM's. Thanks. Mike

Mike, check OSATPA.com, They have an rpm chart. NATPA also has one, but NATPA also doesn't always go by what's correct, but rather by what the board members pull. Also be aware that John Deere recently changed the spec for A's and G's to 1750 RPM for high idle (just thought I'd throw that out there to see if it flys). Mike

Yeah Molines can have 3000 RPM'S, and so can your AC- I mean lawnmower. They both will need them to beat a Deere :-) Mike

Can't comment on the others, but the F-15 IS 1550 RPM(says right on the tag under the gas tank),and a F-14 is 1810.I have a half dozen or so of these old relic's sitting around, and they all say the same thing. Marty

Mike - I don"t have and RPM data for you but I do have a big "Thank You" for allowing us Kansas antique guys to keep the setting we use at 100% of the other pulls we attend. Well Done! J

Most simple proportional govenors have about a 10% droop in rpm. From max fast idle to full rated rpms where the govenor finally gets her pulled wide open. So if no other info is around. Muiltiplying the rated rpms by 1.21 should be pretty close for 10% over fast idle.

Glen, this has been done before and we will do it again if no good information becomes available. We are just trying to get it as accurate as possible. The 10% droop is a good starting place but I have seen anywhere from 10% to 14%, depending on the model of tractor. Thanks for the help. Mike

Earl, it is open. My M&W dyno book has many of these tractors rated RPM's in it but we are in need of fast idle speeds to accurately check the tractors we will get. Mike
