If your rules will let you put a D-17 or Gleaner E engine it it. If not go with the intake carb off of them. Also, go with a wd-45 crank rods and pistons or use your WC pistons but they will have to be turned down. a 45 has a 4.5 in. stroke and a wc has a 4 in. stroke..... this will all help a bunch.

I don't think you would have to turn down the wc pistons. If you hold a 175 piston next to a WC piston you would notice that the 175 piston is taller and that is what I put in a WD once with 45 crank and had no problems.

What is a Leroi manifold? I'm not familiar with this name.

Put D-17 Manifold, carburetor, and air breather on your W.C.. This will increase H.P. with not too much expense.

Leroi used basically a Allis motor for compressors, ect.but they built different manifolds, ect.they make more HP than the 175 manifold.
