You can bore the H block out to the 806 bore and not have to put in aftermarket sleeves, it will run on the block and still have about .145 thick, in the thin spots. Have the block checked for cracks before boring it, best insurance. You will have to run a stroker to run the 806 pistons, just a bit of info,, you have a wide selection of pistons to choose from that have the same compression height as the 806 piston,,, ranging from 3-9/16 bore, up to 3-13/16 bore, use pistons from any IH 6 cyl engine with a stroker. Minumum stroke to use the 6 cyl pistons is 5 inches. and can be used up to 5-3/4 stroke. OR, use a 300-350 block, and go to 4 inch bore. Then you have an option,,,,, no stroker,,, and use Massey 44 pistons (C-260 4 cyl gas) they are the same compression height as the H, you will have to bore the H rod to adapt the large wrist pin to the H rod. On the H blocks,, there will be no ring at the top at 3-13/16 bore, there will be on the 300-350 blocks,,, the 300-350 blocks have a bre size of 3-3/4 when you remove the sleeves,,,,, ,,, and there is an IH 6 cyl piston, that is 3-3/4 from the IH 706 C-291 gas. Hope this helps a bit,,, what is your plans,, to stroke it? or not? ChadS
